Meet Jane Bibb - Choir Founder

Hi I'm Jane.

My passion is bringing people togther through singing!

My original training was in musical theatre and I'm a Licentiate of the London College of Music. Over the years I've had a career both teaching singing and performing.

In 2004 I started my first adult community choir in Hampshire, UK.  This quickly grew into four large choirs, (this was before any TV choirs or nationwide choir franchises).

My choirs were always for anyone, over the age of 18, who wanted to sing, regardless of experience. I've always believed that everyone has a singing voice and it was my job to help them find it.

Over the years my choirs were heard on BBC Radio (more than once), appeared on ITV, performed at His Majesty's Theatre in London's West End, and regularly asked to sing at Highclere Castle (aka Downton Abbey). They also appeared at numerous local shows and events in the region, raising over £20,000 for charity along the way.

in 2020 when we went into lockdown, I switched my choir session online. My singers were able to still have the choir experience thanks to the recording technology I had at my disposal (being married to a professional musician and having a fully equipped home studio helped!).

After lockdown, my husband and I had the opportunity to work and live abroad for a few years, which we did. I called it 'semigrating'.  In 2024 we returned and have settled in Suffolk.

In October 2024 I set up a little Christmas Choir which proved popular, and from that the Lowestoft Community Choir was formed.  I also run themed one day choir sessions in various venues at the weekend, with my Let's Sing Pop-Up Choir

So, if you fancy joining a choir, come along.  All you need is your voice and enthusiasm, I'll do the rest!

I look forward to meeting (and hearing) you.
